NATO and EU consult on Libyan crisis
NATO's Secretary General and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy co-chaired today an informal meeting gathering ambassadors to the North Atlantic Council and the European Union’s Political and Security Committee to discuss the situation in Libya and exchange views on the broad international response to the Libyan crisis.
This informal meeting took place a day after the international Contact Group on Libya brought together the international community to discuss the overall efforts to achieve a political settlement to the Libya crisis.
NATO and the EU have held regular consultations since the beginning of the crisis in Libya, an issue of great concern to both organisations.
