Major maritime conference to focus on enhanced security cooperation at sea
The NATO-accredited Centre of Excellence dealing with Combined Joint Operations from the Sea (CJOS COE) is sponsoring the multi-national 2010 Maritime Security Conference from 4 to 6 May at the Dom Pedro Palace Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal.
Nearly 200 people from 22 countries representing international, commercial and national government organizations, are expected to attend. The event’s theme is “Delivering Maritime Security in Global Partnership” reflecting its aim to examine how diverse organizations have handled challenges of collaboration in support of maritime security, and to identify best practices.
The CJOS COEis one of 14 NATO-accredited centres of excellence worldwide, and the only one in the United States. It provides a focal point for Joint Maritime Expeditionary Operations expertise for allied nations.
