20 Nov. - The school in Llaushe/Lausa village was burned by a lightning strike in July 2009 and therefore 260 children lost opportunity to attend classes. The problem was decided through using the resources of the school in Dumnice e Eperme/Gornja Dubnica but just partly - there were only two classes in this settlement and it would have been impossible to teach so many children in one school.
20 Nov. - On Tuesday, the 10th of November 2009, Admiral Mark Fitzgerald, Commander Allied Joint Force Naples accompanied by a delegation from his staff, inspected Multinational Task Force North (MNTF-N).
20 Nov. - Every year all the Poles celebrate the 11th of November 1918, when Poland was restored after 123 years of slavery. On the 11th of November in Camp Bondsteel, the Polish Holiday of Independence took place.
20 Nov. - Far afield, fulfilling their mission within the KFOR - to provide a safe and secure environment in Kosovo - the French soldiers celebrated the 91st anniversary of the 11th November 1918 Armistice
20 Nov. - On 12 November 2009, the Ukrainian contingent of KFOR had a Transfer of Authority which took place in the location of the Ukrainian national contingent Camp Breza Multi-National Task Force East (MNTF-E).
20 Nov. - With solemn ceremonies and great international interest, Lt Col Stefan Smedman of the Kontingent Svensk (KS) 19, handed over the responsibility to Lt Col Torkel Nordwall and the 20th Swedish Contingent in Kosovo. The ceremony was carried out traditionally on Camp Victoria’s parade ground on Sunday the 25th of October.
17 Nov. - I congratulate the authorities in Kosovo for the successful organisation of the elections, and the people of Kosovo for the peaceful way in which voting was carried out.
12 Nov. - On 3 November 2009, the Balkan Hawk 3 Crowd and Riot Control (CRC) Exercise commenced on Camp Montieth in region of Gnjilane/Gjilan. More then KFOR 300 soldiers and EULEX police officers participated in the exercise, including two companies from joint German-Austrian Operational Reserve Force (ORF) Battalion, the French Engineering Platoon and the EULEX police platoon of Italian Carabinieri. Kosovo Force Commander, Lieutenant General Markus Bentler, attended the exercise to observe actions of troops for an interview with the media.
